Lando Norris with McLaren won today the Monaco Grand Prix race, held on the city streets of Monte Carlo, valid for the Formula 1 world championship. A well-deserved victory for the British pilot, who triumphed on this track for the first time in his career.
He started the race from pole and finished in first place, but suffered a lot during the race. In second place was Charles Leclerc with Ferrari, who failed to triumph on his home turf, in front of the fans who constantly supported him.
On the podium, third, Oskar Piastri also climbs with the other McLaren car. Only fourth is Max Verstappen with Red Bull, who led the race until two laps from the end. He hoped until the end for an accident before changing tires for the second time.
This year, in Monte Carlo, it was mandatory for drivers to stop twice for tires, but there were not many surprises. Lewis Hamilton finished fifth in Ferrari, while the two Mercedes cars were a total disappointment.
On a track where it was impossible to overtake, they also hoped for accidents and a safety car to change tires, but without success. Russell finished 11th and Antonelli 18th, so without scoring any points.
In the points zone, behind Hamilton, were classified Isak Hadjar (sixth), Esteban Ocon (seventh), Liam Lawson (eighth), Alexander Albon (ninth) and Carlos Sainz (tenth). Piast continues to command the overall Formula 1 standings.
