Albania-Serbia confrontation in the hands of anti-terror, measures to be taken

On June 7, 2025, at 8:45 PM, the "National Arena" will be the scene of a particularly important match for the Albanian National Team, which faces Serbia in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Beyond the sporting challenge, this match also carries historical and political dimensions, which have aroused emotion and tension among fans and public opinion. For this reason, the Albanian authorities have mobilized extraordinary security measures to guarantee a peaceful and incident-free sporting evening.

To prevent any incidents and ensure a safe environment for fans and players, the organization of this match began well in advance.

Cameras -  The Albanian Football Federation, in cooperation with the State Security Services, the Police and other agencies, are implementing advanced security measures at the stadium. From reliable sources of "Panorama Sport" it is learned that modern security systems are being installed at the "Arena Kombëtare" stadium, which include cameras with facial recognition and additional mobile cameras, which will monitor every movement in the stands and around the stadium in real time. This technology will help in the immediate identification of potentially problematic persons.

Control – The police have prepared a detailed control plan, which includes a thorough verification of tickets and identification documents of every person entering the stadium. Tickets must be with the name and surname of the holder, thus preventing trafficking and abuse. Fans will not be allowed to enter with umbrellas, bottles, bags larger than A4, metal objects or anything else that could cause danger. The body search will be detailed and thorough.

Roads and Anti-drone -  To prevent any possible danger, all roads leading to the stadium will be completely blocked, while the surrounding area will be protected with anti-drone equipment, to avoid the possibility of any external interference. The newspaper also learns that there will be a high presence of police forces and anti-terror units at the stadium. Albania-Serbia on June 7, 2025 will be an extraordinary event not only because of the rivalry on the field, but also because of the security challenges it brings.
