Renowned Italian journalist Fabricio Korona claims that the betting scandal in Serie A 'is not over' and that 'half of the elite of the Italian championship is involved', highlighting Juventus more.
Starting last summer, the former paparazzi - who has a criminal record for acts of involvement in racketeering - began accusing various Serie A players of placing bets on football matches, including the now-suspended Juventus' Nikolo Faxoli and Newcastle's Sandro Tonali.
While Korona was apparently correct about the aforementioned couple, he also accused other figures, including Nikolo Zaniolo, Nicola Zalevski, Nikolo Kasale and Alesandro Florenzi, but none of whom received any form of punishment.
Corona was in a Milan court this morning for a hearing on whether he should be placed under special preventive supervision for 18 months.
" The football betting scandal is not over, but the Italian law is like that, the trial has been suspended and we will hear it again in a few years. Not all the names have come out, half of Serie A is involved, but that's how it goes when Juventus is in the middle ," said Korona.
