The first parts of the two matches of group F valid for "EURO 2024" have ended. Portugal has been defeated by Georgia with the minimum score of 1-0. The Portuguese lost the ball in midfield and the Georgians started the counter-attack with Kvaratshkelian firing a diagonal shot into the net.
With this result, Georgia keeps alive the qualification as the third best country.
The other match of this group, the one between the Czech Republic and Turkey, was closed with intact nets. In the 20th minute, the Czechs were down to 10 players. Another yellow card for Barak that was translated into a red card, leaving the field and leaving his side with one less player.
This result complicates the qualification of the Czech Republic among the top 16 teams.
It remains to be seen how the second 45 minutes of these matches will go.
