The World Cup that is "eating the heads" of coaches, who is the 15th
French coach, Herve Renard

Herve Renard is no longer the coach of the Tunisia national team. The federation has decided to end cooperation with the Frenchman just 18 days after he took charge of the team, thus registering one of the fastest departures from the bench after the World Cup.

The 57-year-old was appointed during the World Cup after the Federation sacked coach Sabri Lamushi in an attempt to give the national team a new impetus. However, the change did not bring the desired results.

In the two matches led by Renard, Tunisia suffered two heavy defeats. First, they were defeated 4-0 by Japan, and then they were defeated 3-1 by the Netherlands, results that convinced the federation leaders to end the cooperation.

With this departure, Herve Renard becomes the 15th coach to leave his post after the end of the 2026 World Cup.

Tunisia also set an unusual record in this edition of the World Cup, being the only national team to change two coaches during the tournament: first with the departure of Sabri Lamushi and then with the dismissal of Herve Renard.
