Formula 1 this weekend has been posted at the Italian Grand Prix, right at the Imola circuit. In Emilia-Romagna, it's official practice day to find out who starts from pole position for Sunday's race.
This Saturday, Fernando Alonso with his Aston Martin collided with the protective walls of the track. Although not very fast, the car seems to have been damaged and requires the attention of the staff to continue, with the red flag dominating the track.
Fortunately no injuries for the Spanish driver, as the Imola circuit is known for two tragic accidents 30 years ago that claimed the lives of drivers Roland Ratzenberger (during practice) and a day later in the race Ayrton Sennas. Red Bull's Sergio Perez also lost control of his car and crashed into the guardrail, uninjured.
