Innovation in the European Super Cup, UEFA makes the historic change in the grand final for the first time

The European Super Cup final will be played between Manchester City who won the Champions League and Sevilla who managed to win the Europa League. The final will be played in Greece on August 16 and this final will be the last as we are used to, as from next season there will be a historic change.

UEFA has decided to do away with extra time if the teams end the match in a draw. In this way, after the completion of 90 minutes of regular time, the teams will not have to play another 2 halves of 15 minutes, but will immediately go to penalties.

This rule will be applied starting from the next final and will be in every Super Cup, while it has not yet been decided on any other finals that can be applied.
