Albania U-17 played the second friendly against North Macedonia U-17, a match played at the "Elbasan Arena" stadium, which ended with the victory of the Reds and Blacks with a score of 3-1. The goals were scored by Erigestino Pepnikaj, Tedi Malaj and Ergis Arifi.
Coach Ardi Behari fielded this starting line-up: Leonard Kolgecaj, Kris Gecaj, Erigestino Pepnikaj, Renato Halili, Davide Avdullari, Jetmir Laze, Matia Huqi, Ergis Arifi, Tedi Malaj, Matias Gici, Elio Nderjaku.
The start was quick and immediately North Macedonia took the lead when in the fifth minute midfielder Admir Latifi combined at the entrance of the area with Luka Makaloski and after receiving the ball at the entrance of the area he shot with his right, beating the goalkeeper Leonard Kolgecaj and scoring a goal .
Three minutes later, Albania came close to equalizing with Tedi Malaj, who received a ball in the area very close to the goal and was blocked by the defense at the last moment. It was from the corner kick that Albania equalized. Erigestino Pepnikaj tried in the first attempt with a header, as the defense blocked it, in the second attempt he shot with his right, sending the ball into the net and equalizing the numbers at 1-1.
In the 23rd minute, it was Davide Avdullari who made a nice incursion from the left and after coming out alone with the goalkeeper, he hit the far left, but the ball ended up very close to the post.
Albania U-17 recovered after the slow start and in the 30th minute managed to find the advantage goal with Tedi Malaj, who received a ball at the entrance of the area and after a beautiful movement, hit correctly with a diagonal, reversing the score at 2-1.
The first half ended with the advantage of the Reds and Blacks, while the second half continued at the same pace with the Albanian National Team with more initiative in the attacking phase. In the 50th minute, Oresti Rifa won a free kick at the entrance of the area, which he executed himself. Instead of hitting the goal, Rifa passed in the area for Ergis Arifi, who with the first shot correctly and scored the third goal for Albania, with a scheme that proved to be efficient.
North Macedonia tried on two occasions in the 76th minute to narrow the numbers, but without succeeding. Both coaches made several substitutions, refreshing the forces on the field, as the result did not change until the end. Albania U-17 wins with the result 3-1, after a very good performance, while in the first friendly on Monday, they drew 0-0 with North Macedonia.
