On Sunday, August 6, Albania U-19 starts preparations for the luxury friendly with the European champions for the U-19 age group, Italy. The coach of the Reds and Blacks, Ervin Bulku, revealed this Friday the list of players who will gather for this important friendly. The match between the two representatives of this age group will take place in Koverçano on August 9 and is scheduled to start at 17:30.
Coach Bulku has invited 20 players born in 2005-2006 for this test, a good part of whom have been part of the under-19 team this year and have participated in numerous friendlies or selections.
This is the third year in a row that the Albania U-19 team plays friendly matches against Italy in August, turning this test into a tradition. The Reds will travel to Italy on Sunday, immediately starting preparations in the neighboring country. Under the guidance of technician Bulku, the red and black team will train for three days in a row in the center of Koverçano, while on August 9 they will also play a friendly against 'Axurre'.
For coach Ervin Bulku and the technical staff of the Reds and Blacks, the meeting against Italy is considered to be a good one to see the state of the team and the elements of the perspective also within the next test of Albania U-19 in the international arena. The U-19 national team will participate in the 2023-2024 European Championship qualifiers with the Reds and Blacks in Group 13, along with Ireland, Belgium and Slovenia.
