Albanian football legend, Rudi Vata, believes that Albania can also surprise Poland in the World Cup play-off match that they play on Thursday in Warsaw. In an interview for "Sport News" on "News 24", Vata analyzed the chances that the red and blacks have for this duel, expressing his belief that on a good day, the surprise against Serbia in the qualifiers can be repeated.
In the conversation with moderator Trevisa Tufa, Vata also focused on the national team's attack, emphasizing that Silvinjo has four names on whom he should base his play in the offensive phase.
Rudi, first of all, how does this moment make you feel? In 10 years we have been to the European Championship twice, now we are in full-time competition for a ticket to the World Cup. Is this the most important match in history?
For the fans and for us in the football section, this is a great match. This is the first time we are so close to the World Cup. The level of difficulty is also high. It is a match that we do not have the right experience to know how to manage the situation. Being a growing national team, the confidence is greater.
The same question was asked to Lewandowski. “No,” he said. “It’s not the most important game, but it’s the game that must be won at all costs.” Is this the only positive detail, the fact that the pressure is not on us. Are we in the same position?
The expectations are that Poland will go to the final, because Polish football itself and figures like that, are normally the main favorites. The pressure is very high, the Poles' expectation is that Albania will not be at their level. On a beautiful day and in good condition, I think we can pull off the surprise. We pulled off the surprise against Serbia and this could be the next surprise. This is a massive match, very big!
This is a one-on-one match, a must-win match, Vata. Does this fact complicate this transfer even more? I believe we cannot wait 90 minutes or more in the hope of not conceding, waiting for some mistake from Poland. In your opinion, how do you think Silvinho will play?
I think that in terms of physicality we should come out victorious in duels. The Poles are known for their physicality. We should play calmly in the first 20-25 minutes, when I think they will put pressure. It is very important for the Poles to show their teeth in the first minutes. In our case, we will respond aggressively. I am sure that then the match will open up and then we will have our chances.
Rudi, does it bother you that in this group we have players like Broja who comes with very few minutes on his feet, having just returned from injury? Likewise, Arbër Hoxha, Nedim Bajrami play little or not at all. Manaj was injured at the end, etc. How much can these details affect?

Muçi e njeh mirë mentalitetin polak. Ai ka marrë një lloj edukimi në shkollën polake. Ka patur një lëvizje të rëndësishme nga Legia te Beshiktashi. Ka ruajtur vazhdimësinë, është bërë lider absolut te Trabzonspor. Është lojtari më i njohur te kombëtarja.
Pse kjo dilemë e madhe rreth Muçit, rolit të tij? Pse duhet të ketë kaq shumë dyshime për lojtarin më të në formë që ka aktualisht Shqipëria? Çfarë humbet Silvinjo, nëse i beson Muçit?
Varet nga idetë. Ne e dimë që Silvinjo ka ndryshuar pak në idetë e tij. Presioni ka qenë i madh, pasi rezultatet e Muçit dhe Mehmetit kanë bërë të pamundur injorimin. Mungesat e Dakut dhe Manaj, ata të dy do thirreshin nëse nuk do dëmtoheshin. Muçi dhe Mehmeti e njohin mirë zonën e kundërshtarit. Është e rëndësishme që me këta lojtarë të ndërtohet loja ofensive.
Sulmi jot ndaj Polonisë…
Mes Brojës, Uzunit, Muçit dhe Mehmetit, mendoj që duhet të ndërtohet sulmi. Silvinjo do bëjë presion poshtë, pasi lart do ishte vetëvrasje. Ekipi ka nevojë të jetë kompakt. Të luajmë me kundërsulm dhe të tentojmë të dëmtojmë Poloninë. Po të kemi lojtarë me lëvizje dinamike, mund t’i dëmtojmë.
U ndalëm shumë te faza sulmuese, pasi në letër, duket sikur është reparti i vetëm që mund të këtë ndryshime. Por pikësëpari, besoj fillimisht duhet të mendojmë si të ndalim Levandovskin me shokë. Do të jetë e vështirë, kjo Vata? E pamë Levën edhe ndaj Njukasëll në Champions, realizoi “dopjetë”, edhe pse 38-vjeçar. Sa e vështirë do të jetë kjo pjesë, të ndalim Levandovskin?
Për të mbrojtur Levan është e vështirë, pasi ka cilësi natyrale që gjendet aty për golin. Sado që të mendosh, atij i duhet vetëm një shans për të shënuar. Është “gjahtar” i sulmit, është lojtar që ka fizik si një 20-vjeçar. Vazhdon me të njëjtin ritëm dhe me të njëjtin mentalitet. Loja do bazohet te Leva, aty motivohet edhe grupi pasi është ylli i skuadrës. Nuk ka formulë për të mbuluar Levan. Duhet të eliminojmë “ushqimin” që do i jepet atij.

Mendoj që kjo është dyshja, shpresoj që edhe Kumbulla të jetë drejt formës maksimale. Ismajli është guximtar. Me Ajetin dhe Gjimshitin ka qenë rezultativ Sylvinho. Besoj se kjo do jetë dyshja e qendrës.
Më 31 mars, si mendon, do të luajmë një tjetër finale? Apo thjesht do luajmë një miqësore? Sa shanse kemi për të kaluar Poloninë?
