In addition to being eliminated in the group stage, the Albanian football team seems to have been involved in a sexual scandal.
According to the German media, the Prosecutor's Office of Dortmund has launched investigations against a supervisor of the Albanian national football team, after allegedly sexually abusing an employee at the hotel where they stayed during the participation in Euro 2024.
" Antene Unna " writes that the investigation started after suspicions that there was sexual harassment at the Kamen-Kaiserau sports center. Just before the last match in the group, the supervisor reportedly grabbed a hotel employee by the arm. Then the sexual abuse took place against her will.
The public prosecution has not provided any information about the woman's health. She is now investigating to what extent the accused acted against the woman's will.
There is currently no arrest warrant. The accused, who is neither a player, nor a coach, nor an official, has returned to Albania, the article continues.
