Klaus Gjasula, in the show "Champions" on TV Klan, confessed his career in football. The midfielder spoke from the first steps until arriving at the national team, at the age of 29.
Gjasula revealed the special meeting with Igli Taren, in a friendly, from where the gathering then came in the National team.
A mix-up connected the midfielder with Taren, who then suggested it to the coach at the time, Edy Reja.
" I started playing football when I was 6 years old. When my brother became a football player, I realized that I would become one too. Every day we played in the neighborhood with friends. When my brother became a footballer in Freiburg, I realized that I could make it there.
I had a different career than my brother. I passed all the levels down in Germany. At the age of 29, I entered the Bundesliga for the first time and after that I had reached the level of the National Team.
Before the championship started, we had a friendly with Lazio. Igli Tare was there. He was watching the game and I performed very well. After the match I went to him out of respect and spoke to him. He confused me with my brother, with Jurgen. He spoke to me as if he knew me and I realized that he confused me. He told me he didn't know I was his brother. He told me if I wanted to go to the National Team, because he had contact with coach Reja and he needed a player like me. I certainly wanted to and so it happened.
Reja was a good coach, an honest man and I can't say anything bad about him. Nothing bad is said about Silvinho. Came here and changed everything. He is honest and tells you what he wants from you. He is a fair man. It has taken us to the European Championship ", declared Gjasula.
