
A Leyton Orient fan lost his life during the match against Lincoln. The tragic news came from the English League 1 match, which was interrupted due to the horrific events. In the 84th minute there was a stoppage, the fans entered the field to stop the game and draw attention to the fact that a man in the stands needed medical attention.
Both teams were pulled from the field and unfortunately the fan died of a heart attack, despite attempts by doctors to revive him.
“ We were called at 9.28pm yesterday to reports that a person was unwell at Leyton Orient Football Club, in Brisbane Road. We sent a number of personnel to the scene, including an emergency officer, two paramedics and an ambulance crew. Our first doctor arrived in about four minutes," they announced from the emergency room in London.
Leyton Orient also announced. "Tuesday's game against Lincoln City was abandoned due to a medical emergency in the East Stand at Brisbane Road. The thoughts of everyone at Leyton Orient Football Club are with the individuals involved and their loved ones at this difficult time. The club would like to thank all the fans in attendance at Brisbane Road tonight for their understanding and compassion during a very difficult situation. The club will provide further updates in due course ," the statement said.
