American sprinter Fred Kerley, bronze medalist in the 100-meter race at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, had a bad adventure the other day.
After an argument with some police officers in Miami, the 29-year-old athlete was hit with a "taser" and arrested. He now faces charges of assault, resisting a public officer and breach of peace.

Police body camera footage shows Kerlei standing up, then being tasered and falling back to the ground before being taken into custody.
Media in Miami reported that Kerlei appeared in court today and was released on bail. His lawyer said the incident was a "total misunderstanding". Kerlei's medal list also includes gold in the 100m at the 2022 World Championships and world titles in the 4x100m and 4x400m.
