The president of the AFF, Armand Duka, was also elected today as the vice-president of UEFA, a task he will hold for the next four years. The number 1 of Albanian football was selected to the UEFA Executive Committee a few months ago and will now cover this new task until 2027.
With a status on social networks, the president of the AFL has expressed that the Albanian football community today has a place in the direction of European football and together we will give our contribution to the success and development strategies of football throughout Europe.
Among other things, the Duke added: This European Championship is undoubtedly the biggest organization in the history of our football and we should be very proud that after the successful organization of many European activities we have now been entrusted with such a prestigious competition

Dear friends,
I want to share with you the news that as of today I have been entrusted with the task of UEFA Vice President. I feel very honored by this trust that the European football committee has given me. This is undoubtedly a great privilege for me, but at the same time it is also a great appreciation for Albanian football and the great work that has been done in these years.
The Albanian football community today has a place in the direction of European football and together we will make our contribution to the progress and development strategies of football throughout Europe.
September 26, 2023 will remain a historic date for Albanian football and not only because the big family of European football, UEFA, entrusted us with the organization of the European Championship for 17-year-olds in 2025. This European Championship is undoubtedly the biggest organization in the history of our football and we should be very proud that after the successful organization of many European activities we have now been entrusted with such a prestigious competition.
We have a lot of work ahead of us, important challenges await us, but together with the Albanian Government, the Ministry of Education and Sports, the Municipalities of the cities that will welcome this competition, we will manage to make an excellent organization that will honor Albania and our football .
