Albanian striker, Lorent Tolaj

Lorent Tolaj seems ready for a new challenge in his career. In England, reports are circulating that the Albanian striker's transfer to Bristol City is very close to being completed, with the Championship club expected to pay around £4 million for his Plymouth card.

Tolaj is thus following in the footsteps of Anis Mehmeti, who also made the step towards the highest levels of English football. The 23-year-old striker has stood out in recent seasons with his appearances and goals in League Two and League One, attracting the attention of several clubs.

The Albanian-born striker has scored 58 goals in the last three seasons, while also providing 30 assists. With a total contribution of 88 goals, Tolaj has become one of the most productive strikers in the English lower leagues.

He finished his last season with Plymouth in League One, the third most important category of English football, where he continued to show his worth as a striker with a nose for goal.

So far, Tolaj has only represented Switzerland's youth teams, but the Albanian Football Federation is monitoring his situation. If the FSHF manages to convince him to wear the red and black jersey, Albania could gain a striker with great potential for the future.

Tolaj himself has previously shown his connection to his Albanian origins, celebrating several goals with the eagle symbol, a clear sign of his closeness to the red and black colors.
