There is no peace for Vitesa. The Dutch club, which until last season played in the Eredivisie, the first division of football in the Netherlands, was sanctioned with 21 penalty points after it could not meet the requirements that prompted the licensing committee to take this drastic decision.

Vitese received today from the KNVB Licensing Commission a penalty of 21 points for non-compliance with certain licensing requirements. The total sentence is the result of four sanctions , "said in a note.

Then, it was entrepreneur Gus Franke who tried to save the club from bankruptcy just before the summer deadline. However, the process of buying the company was never completed and he withdrew at the end of October.
