Red Bull's Max Verstappen won the Dutch Formula 1 Grand Prix this afternoon, the 9th consecutive success for the Dutch driver, who dominates the world and leads the standings. He equals Sebastian Vetel's record of 9 consecutive wins set ten years ago, in a very interesting race, especially at the beginning and end of it, when it was raining.
A very exciting race, after the rain that started immediately after the start, which cost Vershtapen his head, which he took back after 10 laps. Even at the end of the race there is rain again, forcing the race marshals to wave the red flag, 7 laps from the end and after a series of accidents. Earlier, in the middle of the race, the safety car also entered the track, when Sargeant had an accident.
A race that became chaotic due to rain and drivers entering the pits to change tires, leaving the name of the winner open until the end. However, Vershtapen managed to defend his lead, deserving the victory (third in a row at his home), while Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) and Pier Gasli (Alpine) climbed the podium together with him, who benefited from the penalty that took Sergio Perez (fourth).
The rain and several incidents at the start caused the pilots' strategies to be different. Anyway, a race to forget for Charles Leclerc who abandoned him in the middle of it, with Ferrari suffering a lot, as was Mercedes, who weren't among the best. In the end, the race restarted under safety car regime with the drivers ending the race on intermediate tyres.
After the podium trio, Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), Luis Hemilton (Mercedes), Lando Norris (McLaren), Aleksander Albion (Williams), Oskar Piastri (McLaren) and Esteban Okon (Alpine) were also ranked in the points zone. The next race is in Italy.
