Zaniolo to Udinese, Hojlund to Napoli and Zhegrova to Juventus / The transfer

The 2025/26 summer transfer window in Serie A has officially closed and the last few days have brought some sensational moves that are expected to change the balance of the Italian championship.

Udinese have made two important moves. 19-year-old striker Idrissa Gueye arrives from Metz on loan with an obligation to buy, despite strong interest from West Ham and Manchester City. At the same time, the Friulian side have also officially closed the deal with Nicolò Zaniolo, whose contract was submitted to the League and confirmed on the club's social media.

Andrea Belotti is Cagliari's newest player. The contract has been signed and only the registration with the League is awaited to make it official.

Edon Zhegrova has made a big step in his career by transferring to Juventus. The black and white club has reached an agreement with Lille for 20 million euros plus 5 million in bonuses.

Another big surprise comes from Napoli. President Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed on the X platform the signing of Rasmus Højlund, making the Dane the team's youngest striker.

Milan are close to finalising the contract with Adrien Rabiot. The documents have been submitted, making the French midfielder practically a Rossoneri player, although an official announcement is still awaited.

Cremonese have closed the deal for talented Senegalese defender Mikayil Faye (2004), who comes from Stade Rennais on loan with an option to buy.

In the final hours of the transfer window, Galatasaray have entered the race for Ademola Lookman, but Atalanta are demanding 55 million euros to let the striker leave. Negotiations are ongoing.

Como have strengthened their ranks with defender Stefan Posch from Bologna and Brazilian Diego Carlos. Both contracts have been submitted to the League, making the transfers official.

In Germany, Victor Boniface has joined Werder Bremen after a failed move to Milan. He goes on a 1-year loan with an option to buy for 24 million euros.

Meanwhile, Nico González leaves Juventus after just one season. He has joined Atlético Madrid on loan with an option to buy, which could become mandatory if conditions are met during the season.

The transfer market is closing, but the surprises it brought are expected to be reflected quickly on the pitch. Serie A enters a new season with fresh faces and transfers that could change the race for the title.
