Sajmir Kolaveri, accused by Albanian justice as the murderer of Klevis Lleshi in 2020, has been extradited from Italy.
Kolaveri was declared internationally wanted by Albanian authorities, after on September 25, 2025, the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC) sentenced him to prison for a series of criminal offenses.
The 44-year-old Kolaveri is charged with "Murder for blood feud", "Hiding or destroying a corpse", as well as offenses related to a structured criminal group and illegal possession of weapons.
According to the investigation, the 44-year-old is suspected of collaborating with other members of the criminal group on August 5, 2020, to murder Klevis Lleshi. After the execution, he is also suspected of participating in the transportation and burial of the body in the village of Shpërdhet, Mamurras, with the aim of concealing the crime.
So who is Sajmir Kolaveri?
44-year-old Sajmir Kolaveri appears to be involved in several criminal events. His name is linked to an assassination attempt in 2018 in Bathore. A TNT bomb was placed in Gazmir Daci's apartment, while the person who ordered it, according to the police, was Sajmir Kolaveri himself. The latter is suspected of having ordered the assassination in revenge for the murder of his son, Valmir Kolaveri, on November 4, 2015, as well as the injury of his brother Robert Kolaveri by Gazmir Daci. At the time the TNT bomb was placed in Daci's apartment, the latter was serving a prison sentence. For the incident at that time, the Police arrested a 23-year-old, Vilson Brahja, who was accused of placing the explosive in exchange for 5 thousand euros.
The TNT attack was ordered for revenge, as Sajmir Kolaveri's name is also linked to a blood feud between his tribe and the Daci tribe. The origin of the clash between the Kolaveri and Gazmir Daci began in France, where the Kolaveri brothers were involved in a conflict with Gazmir Daci. The 3 brothers were involved in the illegal transportation of immigrants. In France, they beat Gazmir Daci, known as Elson, in the basement, after accusing him of disrupting their deals for transporting illegal immigrants and taking away their clients.
Then, the revenge began in Albania, where Daci confronted Valmir Kolaveri and his uncle Robert Kolaveri in a bar. Daci shot at them, killing Valmir, and Robert was paralyzed by the bullets he received. After the murder of Valmir Kolaveri on November 4, 2015, Sajmir Kolaveri's brother, Ergysi, along with his cousin, attempted to eliminate Gazmir Daci. Meanwhile, Kolaveri himself then ordered the placement of TNT in his apartment. Gazmir Daci's father's bar was also attacked with TNT.
Hostage taking with Ervis Martinaj's 'soldier'
Another criminal incident involving Sajmir Kolaveri is a hostage-taking in Tirana. 7 people, including Ervis Martinaj's soldier, Hektor Xheuçka, the former president of the Kamëz Club, Naim Qarri, and Sajmir Kolaveri, took a young man hostage for an hour and raped him. The incident occurred in July 2024, when the group took 35-year-old Ervis Xhixha hostage and threatened him to get 70 thousand euros.
The measure was not executed for Hektor Xheuçka, who is also wanted by SPAK for the Revanshi file and is suspected of hiding in Dubai. House arrest was imposed on Sajmir Kolaveri by decision of the Tirana Court, but he was now arrested in Italy as being involved in the murder of Klevis Lleshi in 2020 for the blood feud between the Hoxha and Lleshi clans.
