Will military service be compulsorily restored in Albania? Former minister Lleshaj speaks

The NATO base in Kuçovo has been officially opened.

The inauguration of this base was done through an official ceremony, part of which were many dignitaries of the country and not only.

The former Minister of the Interior, Sandër Lleshaj, in an interview for Euronews Albania, said that many countries are thinking about the return of compulsory military service.

He further underlined that in order to return the military service to our country, we need weapons and infrastructure.

" In order to build capacity for the defense of the country, despite being in the alliance, you have to play your game and role. Many countries are considering the return of compulsory military service. We need weapons, infrastructure, but we also need people ," he said.
