The Special Court is holding a preliminary hearing today for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, his son-in-law Malltezi and the other 3 defendants in the Partizani affair file.
The hearing will be conducted at 12:00 by preliminary judge Flojera Davidhi.
After examining the file with 333 bundles, Judge Davidhi is expected to decide today whether Berisha and the groom will go to trial.
The same for Fatmir Bektashi and Xhimi Begejan as well as financier Andia Pustina, who carried out the procedures for the privatization and construction of 19 towers on the grounds of the former sports complex.
If the file goes to trial, this will mark the real confrontation of Berisha and the son-in-law with Albanian justice. Berisha is accused of passive corruption and will become the first former prime minister to go to court for this criminal offense, if Davidhi decides to take the 'Partizani' file for trial.
Businessman Fatmir Bektashi is accused of active corruption and Xhimi Begeja money laundering, land heir and co-owner of 'Homeplan' and Andia Pustina, financier who performed all financial and legal operations of Homeplan are accused of money laundering.
Report TV has learned that the 'Partizani' file has been divided by factions, which means that investigations will continue into the other case, that of the wealth of the family of the former prime minister 'non grata' Sali Berisha and the benefits that his family members may have. as in the case of Berisha's decisions regarding the acquisition of the Partizani Complex plot and the construction of 19 towers by his son-in-law.
