After Tuesday's incidents, protesters will again be in front of Parliament tomorrow
Protesters have announced another action in front of the Albanian Parliament, just two days after the tensions and clashes with the police that accompanied the protest held on June 30.
From the protest podium in front of the Prime Minister's Office, one of the participants announced that on Thursday, at 10:00, citizens will return to the Parliament, describing the rally as a reaction to, according to them, the violence exerted by the police against the protesters.
The protest the day before was accompanied by incidents, after a group of citizens threw eggs at the vehicles of several MPs at the entrance to the Parliament. The situation then escalated into clashes with State Police officers, while some protesters were escorted to the police station.
The organizers declare that the action will continue tomorrow, warning that they will try to prevent the deputies from entering the session.
" Yesterday the police forces exercised disgusting violence, so tomorrow everyone at 10:00 am at the Parliament. Police officers should be careful, because citizens have the power to fire you and send you to prison. Parliament is ours, not theirs. You do not represent us, you do not represent the diaspora, nor our aspirations. Tomorrow we will stop you from entering the Parliament ," declared the protester.
The call comes at a time when the civic protest has entered its 32nd day, while the organizers have warned that the actions will not be limited to the Prime Minister's Office, but will also move to other institutions that, according to them, bear responsibility for the political situation in the country.
