Security expert Fatjon Softa, in an interview with "News Line", commented on the operation carried out by order of SPAK in Fushë Kuqe, Shkodra.
Two acquaintances of Ervis Martinaj were arrested in this operation. They are Elvin Merlika and Alket Xhixha. Softa stated that even though Ervis Martinaj is missing, the group continues to be active.
"Illegal items were found during the operation. One of the arrested had been wanted for three years. Hotels, luxury cars were also seized... All details show that the group is active. The operation has been extended to the areas where they are most problematic. This area is only 20-30 km from the capital. In this area they have also had the opportunity to exercise and achieve their objectives," said Softa.
During the interview, Softa praised the operation, emphasizing that the main goal was to hit several groups.
"The operation is well-organized and the goal was to hit several groups, several bases. The fact that they hit at the same time seeks to weaken the power of the criminal world. It remains to be seen whether there are other people. Recruitment of young people also shows economic interests. As long as we do not have a disintegration of the group, then it exists. On the other hand, we do not know if Ervis Martinaj is alive or not. We still do not have a financial hit on the gang. After all, when up to 500 thousand euros are offered for a murder to carry out an execution, one wonders what power they have. I continue to believe in the scenario that the person could be alive and within the territory. The State Police should put people inside them, to penetrate the cell and deal a fatal blow", Softa said, among other things.
