Journalist Armand Shkullaku says that we are not dealing with a legal case regarding the accusations against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha for the issue of privatization of the former "Partizani" complex.
Invited to the show "Opinion" on TV Klan, the journalist Shkullaku says that this issue is politically motivated and for this he also gives his arguments.
Armand Shkullaku: Here we are dealing with an act that will either decriminalize the new justice, or we will have a SPAK Republic where they can do whatever they want. For the accusations against Berisha, it is not a case of justice. The accusation of passive corruption against Berisha raises very big questions, it's what Edi Rama said that no one is responsible for the companies he throws, so he is not afraid of SPAK. One politician is not afraid of SPAK, while another is accused by SPAK of the same thing. We have a double standard.
I think that this issue is politically motivated because:
1. In the accusations against Berisha, there is no concrete accusation of how he has committed passive corruption, it is stated, it is submitted, that legal changes have favored the return of the property, the sports ground of Partizan and the right of pre-emption to the former owner families, between them and Berisha's son-in-law. SPAK has had the logic to investigate the property, but they do not go to the procedures. SPAK has dealt with those who eat plums and pears behind the prime minister's back. SPAK is applying a double standard. Today, the hottest cases, we have seen that one got an apartment, one traveled abroad, one got a salary for his father. Double standard and it has been set in motion politically.
2. If he implements laws and decisions that benefit certain social groups, everyone should go to prison. He has to go and Rama, who has approved the law for increasing the salaries of MPs and ministers, has to go to prison as well as he and the ministers. This standard is absurd.
3. It has to do with the way Berisha was treated. A person who has immunity, you cannot restrict his freedom. The Constitution says it, and for this we have the precedent for Tahir's case, when it was the Assembly that gave authorization for mandatory appearance and blocking of his passport. This is done to create a very dangerous precedent and could lead to the "republic of prosecutors".
4. The last event that seems like everything is predetermined, the appointment of a lawyer for Berisha. The court has the obligation to ask the accused party to bring another lawyer within a short period of time, if the other lawyers have withdrawn from the case. The lawyer was mostly ready and waiting behind the court door.
