Lawyer Marash Logu, legal representative of 'Reestablishment', spoke about the Criminal Amnesty where he said that no senior official convicted of corruption will benefit from it. He said that all crimes against the authority of the state or justice do not get any relief from the amnesty.
Logu listed three reasons why he does not benefit from the amnesty.
"There are 3 reasons why you cannot benefit from the amnesty: 1. if you are a special subject, if you have held the office of president, prime minister, all leading functions of the Albanian state, you do not benefit, regardless of what you have done; 2. if you have committed a certain criminal offense, you do not receive it; 3. if you avoided justice with your behavior, you will not benefit. And if you happened in one of these three cases, you do not benefit from the amnesty", said Logu in an interview for Euronews Albania.
