"Apartments with crime and corruption money", urban planning expert: An average Albanian cannot buy a house in Tirana

Urban planning expert and lecturer Gent Kaprata said that today the prices of apartments have increased in a frightening way, due to the money of crime and corruption circulating in the construction sector.

Kaprata said that an average Albanian cannot buy an apartment in Tirana. He gave an example, saying that he knew a young man who had bought 88 apartments, as he added that these are undoubtedly "corruption or crime money".

"You can't buy a house with a loan today in Albania. An average Albanian cannot buy an apartment. I knew a young man who had bought 88 apartments. And, 88 apartments are bought for 10 million euros, which these corrupt people have, because we are hearing crazy numbers of thefts every day. In construction, we have a large flow, which includes corruption and crime", he told "Open".
