The lawyer of the former mayor, Safet Gjici, Përparim Kulluri, has said that they will not accept the accusation of "passive corruption", as according to him the criminal offense has not been committed.
He said that the actions of the former mayor are morally reprehensible, but there is no criminal offense in them, since no tender was announced, from which the girl shown in the video with him benefited.

So the criminal offense was not consummated, it was a conversation after the act where the girl says that she has a project and consummated a conversation with Gjici, but there is no decision regarding this project that has been taken by the municipality. Today, the charges were communicated to him, after three days the decision will be made on how the procedure will continue for Gjici, during this time I will remain in custody.
Our request is that he be prosecuted in a free state because there is no criminal offense, in fact he should not be prosecuted at all. It is a moral act for which he has resigned ", said lawyer Kulluri.
