Fatbardha Dega, the former director of the State Bank in Tropojës, says that she was unjustly imprisoned, where she lost her child and was not even given medical help.
In a direct link from the USA, Dega told how 32 years ago she was put in prison in Bajram Curri while she was pregnant, because she and her husband were politically engaged.
According to her, evidence was fabricated for her to be arrested for corruption in '92, with false testimony, when she was the director of the State Bank in Tropoja.
Fatbardha was pregnant and during her stay in the cell in difficult conditions she lost the child she had in her womb.
Today she accuses, name by name, those who took her baby's life, from judges and prosecutors, to Sali Berisha, whom she calls the author of fratricide in the country.
"The accusation was for political reasons, without facts. We were accused of having prepared an anti-meeting for DP, which does not hold. We had protected a leader of the ruling party of Fatos Nanos. The husband was the leader of the SP at that time in the area. In the elections of March 1992, when PD had come to power. It was not taken into account when they took me with 12 policemen, I aborted the baby in the cell, for 4 days I was denied the right to medical assistance, when I went to the hospital I fought for my life, they took me back to prison," she said in " Albania Live".
"The abortion happened because the conditions were so harmful, but also psychological trauma. I took the initiative after 30 years to get the pain out of my soul. I put my finger together with the PD branch of Bajram Curri until Sali Berisha fabricated this process and put me in a cell without any right. I accused him from day one, until death. I have the process set up in the state where I live, I will drop it there when I have the opportunity to put that person in the dungeon, just like they put a pregnant woman without the right.
All our relatives have been laid off. My husband at that time had learned from Berisha's relatives that they had called plans to take revenge on the woman. I was a director, I was not with the party, he was with the party. Because they didn't want to hit him directly, they used maneuvers. I spent three months in prison, there was a trial in 1992. 90 witnesses were questioned, despite the fact that they were paid to testify falsely, none claimed that I had taken money from the bank. Two members defended the right, my innocence was established.
