Lawyer Uljan Bajrami has left the detention facility in Elbasan. Two days after his arrest, the prosecution declared his arrest illegal and a little while ago he left the cell, while footage of him being waited for outside by friends and relatives has been published.
Bajrami was arrested after clashing with prosecutor Gjergji Ceka during a session to confirm security measures for 14 people arrested on October 13 at a bar in Elbasan, including Maksim Suçi, who was defended by lawyer Barjami. The prosecutor filed criminal charges against him and his arrest was subsequently ordered.
According to reports, the lawyer was arrested by Judicial Police Officers, but today, since the materials for the lawyer's arrest have arrived at the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office for evaluation, the prosecution has concluded that the arrest is illegal. He did not appear in court for security measures as his release was made immediately by order of the Prosecutor's Office.
