Ilir Meta's lawyer, Kujtim Cakrani, in a direct connection with the "Off the Record" studio with Andrea Dangli, on A2 CNN, stated that the President of the Freedom Party will be released very soon.
"I believe that he will be released very soon. Every action has been exhausted and it is clear that SPAK has also exerted itself very much. On the 10th of this month, it will be 1 year since Mr. Meta was registered as a person under investigation, so I believe that every deadline, including procedural ones, has been exhausted."
"The SPAK has no other evidence to collect for Mr. Meta. I believe that by the summer Mr. Meta will be a free person. But let's not forget that political issues are very difficult to dismantle legally," Cakrani said on A2 CNN.
The lawyer also indicated the current condition of Ilir Meta, stating that "the leader of the PL is in very good physical condition. He works every day, guides the party, writes, does gym work, so he is in very good condition and in shape both physically and morally."
