Lawyer Edmond Petraj says that most likely, on Thursday, the court will leave in force the "house arrest" security measure for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
In an interview for "Ora e Fundit" on ABC News, Petraj said that the speech that Berisha gave after leaving the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK) constitutes a criminal offense and a violation of the law.
Among other things, Petraj added that prosecutors must take measures.
"For ordinary citizens, if the court's decisions are not implemented, those that were applied to Mr. Berisha are applied, there is no differentiation. It depends on what the prosecutor requested, if he requested to continue the measure of house arrest, the court will leave it as it is. The part of the security measure file will not be judged tomorrow, another criminal proceeding has been made for non-compliance with the court's decision. Going out the way Berisha did yesterday seems a bit humorous to me. I have the impression that the part when you give the statement is a secret part, because they tell you that you should not express yourself. The internal part, they asked two or three questions, and the other questions, I think there will be other calls to the prosecutor's office.
We are in the preliminary investigation stage, this is the main part of an investigative process. The action he did yesterday, that he spoke, in my opinion, he violated the court's decision, the prosecutors must take measures. He has been told that he should not communicate except with family members. Even from the balcony where he is speaking, if you look at him, he does not address them and does not receive an answer, he speaks, it seems as if he is in the air", he emphasized.
