The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has stated that its bank accounts have not been blocked by anyone and that Albanian diplomats have received their salaries.
Through an official communique, the ministry has rejected the news that the employees at the diplomatic headquarters of Albania in Italy have not received their salaries due to the obligations that the Albanian state has towards the Italian investor, Francesco Becchetti.
Furthermore, the MEPJ has stated that every diplomatic representation of the Republic of Albania enjoys diplomatic immunity and thus they are inviolable under any circumstances.
" The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs qualifies as untrue and abusive the information published on some portals, on the so-called "blocking" of the bank accounts of the MEPJ or the Albanian diplomatic missions, including Italy.
MEPJ informs the public opinion and the media that, based on the Vienna Convention, the bank accounts of MEPJ and any diplomatic mission of the Republic of Albania enjoy diplomatic immunity and thus are inviolable under any circumstances.
Every employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the service abroad, such as in Italy and in any other country, has received payment regularly, as well as that of the month of July, in accordance with the laws and the labor code", announces the Ministry of Internal Affairs
