Albania is a member and one of the co-founding countries of the Peace Board, at the invitation of President Donald Trump, and will be represented by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Former Finance Minister Arben Malaj said that our country does not lose anything if it becomes part of the EU, while the question is what it gains.
"President Trump has the merit of being committed to peace, the problem is how sustainable the agreements he says he has made are. We have nothing to lose by participating, so let's get involved. The challenge is what we gain. It is said that this project will cost 25 billion euros, but will our prime minister have the ability to support Albanian companies to go global? There is a debate about conflict of interest. It has never happened that a president creates a structure and transforms it into a personal structure. And Trump has done this ," Malaj told 'Top Story'.
