Bullying on social networks, journalism: Change the Criminal Code, blackmailers

A 27-year-old woman allegedly ended her life by jumping from the fourth floor in an apartment in Kamze, after a photo of the 39-year-old already arrested, Altin Çoku, was published.

Journalist Andi Tela, speaking about the bullying that takes place on the Tiktok social network, said on the show "The Unexposed", that bullying on social networks should be punished in the Criminal Code, so that the victim in this case has the opportunity to report.

"When we were small, the influence of gossip, of the neighborhood, killed us and we grew up with the mentality to victimize women, to see her as a victim. Now we are gossiping on social networks. Television has lost time for them and they spend hours on social networks.

Here it is a matter of awareness as a community and response as a state. Bullying on social networks should be punished and for this there should be changes in the Criminal Code, so that the victim in this case has the opportunity to report, so that the one who is blackmailing him is punished.

Tiktok is the typical destructive network for the whole new generation. You can see kids, teenagers spending 4-5 hours a day on Tiktok. It is a network where you stand there as a hostage watching endless videos and you have no more information. A banal piece of information that also affects murders," said Tela.
