Opinionist Aleksandër Çipa has commented on the recent statements of SPAK chief prosecutor Altin Dumani regarding the investigations of this structure.
Invited to the "Open" studio, in "News 24", Çipa said that during the meeting held by Duman today in Shkodër, a legal advisor of the US embassy in Tirana was also a participant, who appreciated the work of SPAK.
Having said that, he emphasized that there is not only one influence or indulgence that the executive power can give to the Special Prosecutor's Office. Regarding the "McGongigal" case, he said that a serious institution like SPAK sees the judicial processes taking place in the United States and in Albania as connected.
" The first issue started with skepticism towards SPAK and there were even interruptions of the narrative that Lubonja told. For today's presence of Duman in Shkodër, a legal advisor of the American embassy was with them. I think it is also important what the adviser of the embassy said, who describes SPAK as an institution that is not only important, but wonderful for the work it does. So there is not only one indulgence or influence that the executive power can do to SPAK.
If the head of SPAK says that he registered the case in 2022 and we have our skepticism in force since then, then we have one thing. That it has been said that the case has not been opened at all. I think that a serious institution like SPAK sees the processes in America and here as interconnected" , he said, among other things.
