Chaotic situation due to fires, homes at risk...
The fire situation in the country continues to be serious. After the flames in Borsh were brought under control, the fires in Lukovë have been activated. In the images provided by "Pamphlet", it appears that the entire mountain is under fire, while smoke has covered Himara.
The situation has also worsened in the village of Sasaj. Around 50 homes in this village are at risk from the large fire that is approaching the homes. The police have evacuated the residents and placed them in the center of the village, as the danger is near the homes due to the wind.
Meanwhile, the fire continues in the Delvina Castle, while the flames are spreading towards Shën Vasili and Vana. Firefighters are on the ground to prevent the fire from reaching residential homes.
The situation is also catastrophic in Shala. The fire is about 500 m away from the first houses. There are 3 fire engines on the ground.
Through a post on social media, Minister Pirro Vengu has calmed residents, but from the images coming in, it is clear that the situation remains alarming.
" After several hours of air intervention, the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense have intensified the fight against the fire on the ground as a result of strong winds that have fanned the flames. Fortunately, the fire is located far from residential areas, while our personnel will continue their engagement throughout the night, under the monitoring and guidance of drones ," writes Vengu.
