The General Prosecutor's Office has responded to the Central Election Commission, for Fredi Kokonesh and Qerim Ismailaj, both denounced by the opposition, as persons affected by the decriminalization law.

In response, the prosecution informs that neither the mayor of Divjaka, Kokoneshi, nor the mayor of Mallakastra, Ismailaj, is included in the scope of Article 2 of Law no. 138/2015 "On guaranteeing the integrity of persons who are elected, appointed or exercise public functions".

The Department of Decriminalization at the General Prosecutor's Office has sent to the Central Elections Commission, the decision Self-declaring subject Fredi Pandi Kokoneshi, acting mayor of Divjaka Municipality, is not included in the scope of Article 2 of Law no. 138/2015 "On guaranteeing the integrity of persons who are elected, appointed or exercise public functions".

Declarant, Mr. Qerim Ismail Ismailaj, Mayor of Mallakastër, Fier District, proposed by the electoral subject Socialist Party, for the elections for local government bodies on May 14, 2023, is not included in the scope of Article 2 of Law 138/ 2015, "To guarantee the integrity of persons who are elected, appointed or exercise public functions".
