The Special Court ordered SPAK to investigate the case of a Durrës prison employee with the initials G. Kushi, against whom the city's prosecutor's office had filed corruption charges.
As journalist Anila Hoxha reports, the prison police officer was denounced by an inmate named Marius, who notified the city's prosecutor's office that the officer had threatened him.
"I will spend my life here in prison if you don't give me 3 thousand euros," the officer is said to have told the prisoner.
After warning him, the policeman left him a handwritten note with the account number where the prisoner's family was to deposit the amount.
As it turns out, after the prisoner's denunciation, the Durrës prosecutor's office conducted an expertise on the writing and, suspecting that the writing belonged to the policeman, filed charges against him, specifically that of corruption.
According to information, it turns out that the money was not paid, while the matter of communicating the accusation and taking the police officer as a defendant was submitted to a preliminary judge of this city, who declared incompetence, stating that this investigation and trial should be reviewed by the anti-corruption court in Tirana.
It is learned that Judge Erjon Çela, after reviewing the case, decided that the investigative acts should be reconsidered once again by SPAK, which should take the same actions and hand over the defendant to the police.
