The Municipality of Lezha has begun implementing a new rule for waste management, setting specific schedules for waste disposal by businesses and citizens.
The purpose of this decision is to maintain cleanliness and improve the environment in the city. Starting this summer, businesses must dispose of their waste between 20:00 and 23:00, while citizens only between 19:00 and 21:00.
Following this decision, any violation found by the Municipal Police, including dumping waste outside of working hours, will be penalized with a fine. The Director of Services at the Municipality of Lezha, Jurgen Marku, announced that security cameras have also been installed in problematic areas for monitoring, where businesses have been identified that dump waste not only outside of working hours, but also on the ground, even though the bins are empty./BW
