"It will take place under strict security measures", Artan Hoxha

Journalist Artan Hoxha revealed details of the meeting that Edi Rama will hold with Albanian immigrants on May 12 in Greece.

Invited to the show "The Unexposed", Hoxha said that the participation is expected to be between five and ten thousand people, while businessmen and people close to the SP have committed themselves to the highest possible participation.

Hoxha also explained the controversies that have arisen in Greece for this meeting, which is held at the height of the electoral campaign for the European elections, but also happens to be fixed one year after the arrest of Fredi Beleri.

Hoxha said that the authorities are taking strong measures to ensure the meeting, for fear of incidents with extremists.

" It is a visit that the prime minister makes privately. It has no connection with the Greek authorities. The authorities have been informed that the prime minister will be in the Galatsi area in Athens and has asked to hold a big meeting there. I was informed two months ago for this meeting.

They want to gather 5-10 thousand immigrants at the meeting. They requested a closed environment and an environment with a large space. When he found out what was needed, one of the leaders of the administrative unit asked and declared to the organizers that he could not provide the space. He said that there will be other activity there. The Albanian side has moved the schedule and until now as we speak, this environment has remained in force.

How did we find out? The businessmen I know from the south, who also have activities in Greece, have been told to help gather immigrants in Athens and must respect the prime minister. The Greek media, this has become a major issue, it has been taken as a sign of provocation that Rama is responding to the Greek Prime Minister and is going to the peak of the campaign. It was also left on May 12, exactly one year after Beleri was arrested. Likewise, there are hints that Rama will call to vote.

In fact, the opposition also reacted to Mr. Rama's visit and took it as an intervention during the campaign and that it is unnecessary according to them. Although they accuse Beler of being an ultra-rightist. In fact, the head of Syriza was in Albania today, together with his own husband. He met the residents of the area, the Mayor of Dropulli, he tried to keep a low profile.

In these conditions, unable to stop it, the authorities have chosen another way, that they will try to keep the activity under surveillance and have the lowest possible participation. The police units, especially the civilian ones, have been instructed to be careful, because there may be incidents between extremists or pan-Epiriot associations. It is an activity that Rama has justified with a visit he will make to several countries in Europe.  According to what I heard today from SP representatives, there will be at least 5 thousand people, but with as many Albanians as there are, they could also take the Olympic stadium of Athens ", said Hoxha.
