Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço says that the arrival of three Bayraktar drones in Albania is part of a program for the defense and strengthening of our country's air.
In an interview for "Tirana Live", Karamuço said that Albania has produced stability in the region, but our defensive capabilities must also be seen.
"These are part of a defense program that we have, on a continuing basis, they are also part of air reinforcement. Also, we should not stop only at the drones, but also at the helicopters that are coming, the American Black Hawk. There are parts that we have missed, we have mostly had transport helicopters, but we will have helicopters with other equipment as well, they can be attack, destruction and in this context there are also drones. Keep in mind that the entire Balkans are arming themselves, we are among the last to do so. We have produced more stability, but our defensive skills must also be seen.
We are a NATO country, we are fulfilling some tasks, starting from the budget, even in the purchase of these equipments that are gradually arriving. The need to strengthen elements of security and defense has been expressed by the NATO secretary, but also by many international representatives of our country. This comes from seeing the developments from Ukraine, following the developments in Kosovo, Bosnia. There may be developments in the Balkans, but we are a NATO country. We must make our contribution, not only to protect our territory, but also to engage in other international operations", emphasized Karamuço.
