Edit Shkreli, the Albanian professor and lawyer with a rich career in the USA, has been sworn in as the first Albanian judge in New York. She is the first Albanian in the USA to hold such a post.
The election was held on November 7, and Edit Shkreli won the race for judge in the New York Civil Court in the United States of America.
The former director of the State Police, Gladis Nano, was also present at the swearing in of the judge.
Nano also published some photos next to Edita, where he writes that he gladly accepted the invitation of his early family friend to be by her side on the day of the oath.
'I gladly accepted the invitation from Edith Shkreli, an early friend of my family, to witness this important ceremony of her acceptance as a judge of the Supreme Court of the Bronx, New York. It was exciting to stand next to a pioneer who embodies justice and professional excellence, as the first Albanian judge in the American court. This is not only a personal commitment, but a milestone that engraves the history of Albanian achievements in the world. I am proud to represent our common Albanian heritage on a very prestigious stage. Good luck Edit!'- writes Nano.
