Former Democratic Party MP Ervin Salianji has joined the protest held on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard in Tirana, where for 11 days citizens from different areas of the country have been protesting against the resort project in Zvërnec and against the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Salianji was seen among the protesters during the march and standing in front of the Prime Minister's Office, attracting the attention of participants and media present at the rally. Alesia Balliu was also with him.
The presence of the former Democratic MP comes at a time when the protest organizers have repeatedly insisted that the movement must maintain its civic character and not be controlled by political parties, although recent rallies have also seen well-known figures from public and political life.
This Wednesday's protest was accompanied by calls against the government, demands for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the establishment of a transitional government and changes in the political system. Among the most heard slogans were "Rama out", "New government, radically", as well as calls against the old political class.
