"You told Britain to give it back, but my children are not criminals,"

One of the most emotional and powerful moments of the civic protest was marked by the speech of a protester, who shared the story of her family's emigration and the difficulties that many Albanians have faced in their efforts to build a better life abroad.

Speaking to the protesters, she recalled the difficult years of emigration, when thousands of Albanians left the country in search of survival and a better future.

"When we were fighting for survival and crossing trucks and bridges to reach England, we were labeled as criminals. But our children are not criminals, they are the future of this country," she declared.

In her speech, the protester accused the government of lacking opportunities for young people and compared the lives of Albanian immigrants to that of the families of those in power.

"The English don't have a problem with us, but he does, because when his son was buying 2,000 pounds of bottles at the bar, our children were at home drinking to survive," she said, amid applause from the protesters.

Her statement was met with strong reactions from those present, while the protest continued with calls against the government and demands for political change.
