Former head of SHISH Fatos Klosi said that the day of Azem Hajdari's funeral was used to bring the armed group to Tirana.
According to him, the armed group came with 3 vans with weapons and anti-tank weapons.
"Yes, because that day they came to Tirana, 3 or 4 cars that were parked in Skanderbeg Square came out with guns. The people were unarmed at the funeral, but then they armed themselves. There were 3 white vans and they were filled with weapons, there was also an anti-tank gun. The day before they burned the first floor of the prime minister's office and they took it and destroyed it. They were sure that we could do whatever they wanted and the next day what happened happened.
"We had information through our people but it was not our duty to direct the Democratic Party not to do it. We had warned the government that something would happen. In Shkoder, there were two uprisings in 1998. Even the Ministry of Interior was prepared and because we knew the date, it was used to good effect that people gathered in Tirana for Azem's grave," said Klosi.
