A large influx of vehicles has caused heavy traffic at the Muriqan border crossing, where waits have lasted for hours.
According to travelers entering Albania, it took them over two hours of waiting in line for a distance of just one kilometer.
Many of them come from Italy after a long journey of 15 hours, often with small children, while temperatures in the area reach 40 degrees Celsius.
Travelers express fatigue and frustration with delays and difficult conditions at the border, appealing for better flow management and the creation of minimal conditions for children and the elderly while waiting.
Police sources indicate that the Montenegrin side has not applied the accelerated movement, as a criminal incident occurred in Budva last night and they are thoroughly checking every person aged 18 to 35.
Border authorities have not yet given an official reaction to the situation.
