Fredi Beleri arrived this morning at the Court of Fier with handcuffs in his hands. He is seeking parole.
After the end of the 5-day leave, where he was sworn in as an MEP in the European Parliament, Beleri declared that he would seek parole.
"I asked for parole, my right, and I hope that justice will not be affected this time," said Beleri, among other things.
Beleri was arrested 2 days before the May 14 local elections, for buying votes.
Meanwhile, on March 5 of this year, Beleri was sentenced to two years in prison by the GJKKO, being declared guilty of "active corruption in elections".
