The head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, was injured by yesterday's protest in the Assembly.
The news was confirmed by the director of communication in the Democratic Party, Alfred Lela, who announced that Bardhi was injured during today's protest and tensions in Parliament.
Lela explains that Bardhi got a leg injury after the lectern fell on him and is currently in the hospital to receive medical help.
" He was injured in his leg, his pulpit fell when they pulled him to knock him down. He injured his leg and is receiving help and was not in a viable condition. We wish him a speedy recovery" , said Lela.
We recall that yesterday's parliamentary session was accompanied by tensions. The deputies of the Democratic Party took their chairs out of the Assembly hall and set them on fire as a sign of protest against the imprisonment of the deputy Ervin Salianji.
At the beginning of the session, they blocked the floor of the Assembly and threw hard objects at the speaker of the Assembly, Elisa Spiropali, where Bardhi was the main protagonist, pulling chair legs to hit Spiropali.
