Journalist Klodiana Lala has stated that the arrest of former president Ilir Meta was not a sudden news, as it was expected.
Invited to the Opinion column in News 24, Lala emphasized that the former president has been "targeting" SPAK for a long time. She added that the investigations for Meta had started 4 years ago. She emphasized that everything started from a seized cell phone in which there were data on the activities of the former president.
" The arrest of Ilir Meta was not a sudden news. Meta has long been harsh towards SPAK. There are other people with security measures. Monika Kryemadhi, ex-wife of Ilir Meta, is also required to appear. It has been 4 years since the Prosecutor's Office started investigations into several cases.
First, the investigation was about the CEZ-DIA affair, Kastriot Ismailaj was convicted in the case and there were other people investigated. There are three separate cases, which have been stopped at the property investigation. Even from a seized cell phone, new data about Ilir Meta's activities have been extracted ," said Lala.
